Publishing Opportunity for Literary Society members

Book by Authors, www.bookbyauthors.org, in conjunction with the Connected Corridor project and Leadership Long Beach, seeks submissions for its latest collection of short works. All genres accepted. Write about, or be inspired by, north Long Beach (north of Del Amo Boulevard). This is a challenging and rewarding publishing opportunity for writers of all skill levels. The deadline is March 15, 2009. Don't wait - send as many entries as you can! Entries will be selected and published in Spring 2009; books can be purchased in regional bookstores and worldwide on Amazon.com. Visit www.BookByAuthors.org

For a sneak peek at north Long Beach's history and hotspots, attend a Book by Authors writing workshop:
  • Tuesday, February 3, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Los Altos Library, 5614 E. Britton Dr, Long Beach, in partnership with the Long Beach chapter of the California Writer's Club
  • Saturday, February 7, 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm at Chiltepe Restaurant, 5631 Atlantic Avenue, Long Beach
This project is made possible through a grant awarded by the Connected Corridor, in conjunction with Leadership Long Beach and the Fairfield YMCA. Book by Authors seeks to initiate fresh dialogues about the north Long Beach area through creative action and new partnerships.Questions or Comments?
